6-Day Northern Pacific Coast Adventure Tour from San Francisco to Seattle

6 days
About this activity

DAY 1 - Begin your trip in San Francisco. Head over the amazing Golden Gate Bridge, and get a final view of San Francisco before heading north and away from The City. Soon you’ll be hugging the beautiful Northern California coast where you’ll end your first day on the road watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean!

DAY 2 - Get up close and personal with the beautiful and stately coastal redwoods of Redwoods National Park. Some of these amazingly ancient trees top out out 300 feet (about 90 meters)! Our hike today will take us from the redwoods to the coast and back before you head toward our night stop, Grants Pass.

DAY 3 - You’ll begin day three with a visit to Oregon’s only national park, the majestic Crater Lake. At 1,943 feet deep, the deepest lake in the United States, the topaz blue waters of this 7,000 year old alpine lake are sure to amaze. After a stroll around the crater, you’ll get back on the road and head for what’s hands down the outdoor activity capital of the west, the little city of Bend.

DAY 4 - Interested in mountain biking, hiking or just soaking up the awesome views around town? Not to worry, Bend’s got you covered. From whitewater rafting to horseback riding, Bend is home to it all. Want adventures closer to the ground? Then join your guide on an epic hike in the nearby Deschutes National Forest. This afternoon, why not walk the famous Bend Ale Trail and visit one of the many breweries operating in the city. There are a lot to choose from - Bend boasts more breweries per person than any other city in the US!

DAY 5 - Located on the mighty Columbia River, the city of Portland boasts the impressive and voluminous Powell’s City of Books, which takes up an entire city block of downtown Portland. After browsing through the stacks, head over (and wait in line) to the world famous Voodoo Doughnuts and select from more than 50 different mild-to-wild varieties!

DAY 6 - You’ll cross the Columbia River into Washington state. At 14,411 feet, Rainier is the fifth largest peak in the lower 48 and the highest on the west coast! After a moderate hike to catch some more of the amazing views of this impressive giant, you’ll head back down toward sea level and the Emerald City, Seattle.
