Stop At: Alcatraz Island, Pier 33, San Francisco, CA 94133
EVERYDAY, Part 1
This is the famous and official tour of Alcatraz endorsed by the National Park Services!
- Arrive at the ticket booth on Pier 33 no later than your tour start time. Your ferry to Alcatraz will leave 30 minutes later.
- To get your tickets you need your tour voucher, plus everyone in your group with their government issued photo IDs in hand.
- You will not meet a guide or your group during this portion of the tour.
- When you arrive on the island, you are receive a self-guided audio tour headset.
- After the self-guided tour of the jailhouse, you are free to explore Alcatraz Island.
- You may return on any ferry. They leave every 30-40 minutes.
- Give yourself enough time to eat lunch before your beer tour.

During the rest of the tour, you will visit two more excellent craft beer breweries or bars for more to drink, plus see and learn about the area which was home to most of SF's pre-prohibition breweries and is now the hub of our tech scene. Meet your guide and your new drinking buddies here. Taste four delicious and freshly made beers as we discuss the flavors of Barrel Head's unique concoctions. As you walk to two other breweries for more beer, you will flashback to the 1967 Summer of Love and gain a deeper understanding of the lovely, character-filled neighborhood where the whole hippie scene rose to prominence. While at Magnolia Pub, we will take you down into the depths of their space-savvy and character-filled basement brewery--which the public is rarely allowed to visit.
Raise your beer IQ, celebrate with other beer lovers, and get to know this beloved part of San Francisco that not enough people visit.

Exceeded my expectations 100% - tour guide was too legit ask for Henrique. I thought this was simply going to be a ticket for Alcatraz with 1 or 2 pints and then get sent on my way. The tour had multiple stops, including a tour of the brewery, a very knowledgeable beer enthusiast, snacks along the way and stops at places I would not have stopped at otherwise. If you want to catch Alcatraz, then make your way through SF sipping delish brews, this one you can purchase with no hesitations.
We loved this combo tour as we were only in San Francisco for 2 days. Plenty of time on the rock and the beer tour was fabulous and informative - great way to see some of the lesser known sights. Beer plentiful and great snacks.
Beer tour was great. Our tour guide Andrew was great and gave the group a good experience. He was knowledgable about the city and did a great job showing us around the area.
When my friend was coming to visit and Alcatraz tickets were sold out, I panicked - and then was super relieved to find the tickets bundled with the SF on Tap tour. Alcatraz and beer? So fun! It's a lot of walking, Alcatraz is fascinating, and the beer was great. Lena, our tour guide for the beer tour, really knew her stuff and did a great job making sure everyone had fun. Highly recommend!
