Intro to San Francisco Electric Bike Tour

About this activity
What to Expect

Meet us at 9am at The Bike Shop (782 Columbus Ave). Before we hit the road we’ll go through some basic safety precautions, ensuring you’re familiar with the electric bike, your helmet and bike lock.

We’ll embark on a 90 minute tour to get you familiar with the area, and see some of our favorite sights on the San Francisco Bay. After that, you are free to continue to explore the city yourself. We’ll help you plan a custom route that includes the spots most important to you. We suggest biking the bridge, grabbing some lunch in beautiful Sausalito, and making your way to other great stops depending on how much time you have.

The afternoon is for you to enjoy the e-bike, we just ask that you please return your bike by 6pm that day.

Here are the places we will explore:

Golden Gate Bridge:

Declared "one of the 10 wonders of the modern world," the Golden Gate Bridge not only one of the most recognized symbols of San Francisco, but one of the most photographed sites in the world. Simply stunning!

Fisherman's Wharf:

One of San Francisco's most popular destinations - from beautiful old shipyards, to Boudin's Bakery and the smell of fresh clam chowder, and of course, the sea lions of Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf has it all.

Aquatic Park:

Positioned near the end of the Hyde Street Cable Car, Aquatic Park is a National Historic Landmark on the San Francisco Bay. Featuring one of the cleanest beaches in California, be on the lookout for the bold open water swimmers who frequent the area.

Fort Point:

Located just beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point gives you a front row seat to the San Francisco Bay. This former military fortification was used during both the Civil War and World War II.

Palace of Fine Arts:

Inspired by Roman and Greek architecture, the Palace of Fine Arts was originally constructed to celebrate San Francisco's recovery from the 1906 earthquake. Surrounded by a peaceful garden, it is great for photos

After the 90 minute tour, we suggest exploring:

Sausalito:

Located just across the Golden Gate Bridge, this artistic enclave has the setting and beauty of a european mediterranean town. It makes for a perfect place to grab lunch.

Marin Headlands:

Located just north of San Francisco, Marin Headlands offers an incomparable view of the peninsula. Gaze over the Golden Gate Bridge across the Bay over San Francisco, and be sure to capture your photo!

Golden Gate Park:

Clocking in at over 1,000 acres, Golden Gate Park is the largest man-made park in the world. With beautiful Eucalyptus trees, gorgeous gardens and museums that will appeal to all ages (including the De Young and Academy of Sciences).
