Stop At: Golden Gate Bridge, US-101, San Francisco, CA 94129

Your San Francisco walking tour starts at the Golden Gate Bridge, where you can stroll out for panoramic views of the bay and city skyline (barring San Francisco's famous fog, of course). Listen as your guide points out notable features and shares the history of this world-renowned bridge, constructed in 1937.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Golden Gate National Recreation Area, CA

Then begin your leisurely hike along the city's rugged, hilly Pacific coastline while pelicans soar overhead and barges glide past in the bay. When you see the Golden Gate Bridge come back into view, capture postcard-perfect images from different angles with your camera.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Baker Beach, 1504 Pershing Dr, San Francisco, CA 94129-3306

Walk along the sandy shore of Baker Beach, and take a break to chat with fishermen casting lines into the sea.

Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Sea Cliff, San Francisco, CA

Then climb the steps into Sea Cliff, one of San Francisco’s most exclusive neighborhoods, and admire plentiful mansions with their manicured gardens and fine architecture. You can also enjoy clifftop views of the crashing surf from lookout spots such as Eagle’s Point.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Lands End, Point Lobos Avenue and El Camino del Mar, San Francisco, CA 94121

Follow the trail down to the Pacific’s edge to explore the ruins of the Sutro Baths at Land’s End, now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Sutro Baths, Point Lobos, San Francisco, CA

Learn about the concrete remains of the former glass enclosure that once boasted seven indoor swimming pools, created by wealthy entrepreneur and former San Francisco mayor Adolph Sutro in 1896.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: San Francisco Urban Adventures, San Francisco, CA

Finish this San Francisco tour off perfectly as you watch the sun sink down on the Pacific after your tour ends.

Duration: 4 hours

This was a great walk and Jim was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable and Kept the walk interesting and at a great pace. we have teenagers that enjoyed it as well. It's a great way to see the bridge and beaches. We also saw whales in the bay. Highly recommended!

I have visited the Golden Gate bridge in my previous trips but never seen it this way before this walking tour. Please don't miss this, it is an amazing way to know about the surrounding area. The walk itself was very long but it is suitable for all ages as long as you have good walking shoes!!

First of all you need good shoes, take some water and a snack. Also there is only one toilet stop at the beginning and at the end, so make sure you take the chance at the beginning. We had Devin O'Brien as our tour guide. He was very good, very patient and was very knowledgeable about San Francisco. He knew so much about the history, it was very interesting. He was a very passionate resident of San Francisco. The walk for us was perfect, perfect day, perfect walk. And at the end the guide got us a drink at the light house, the perfect end to the walk. Fantastic day. At the end he took us to the 38 bus stop so we could get right back into the city. Everyone was very friendly, very nice relaxing walk. We would never have gone that way if it wasn't for the tour, so we would have missed out.
