The Art of Crabbing

We will meet at the Chit Chat Cafe located in Pacifica on the Pacifica pier. They have a good selection of bait to catch some of the best crabs in the bay. I'll provide insights on the nature of crabbing and fishing in the bay area, what crabs like to eat and why the bay is home to a large and distinctly diverse crab and shellfish population. Crabbing is a respectful sport so we aim to catch only what we can eat. Once we arrive at the pier I'll provide a thorough overview of the equipment and tactics needed to set up all different appropriate crabbing stations for personal consumption. I'll share how this has been an avid hobby of mine for the past 6 years and all the different types of wildlife in the bay and the best way to prepare truly San Francisco meals.
