Victoria was a first rate and enjoyable tour guide. We loved the Alcatraz trip, and yes, you could do it on your own AND first tour out is the way to go. However, we were very unfamiliar with the San Francisco area so the guided tour on the trolley car was a definite bonus. There were many more stops than we thought and we surely enjoyed the on and off aspect that was very unexpected. We toured for almost four hours, and several of our very small group became quite close and that was even more terrific for the experience. I enjoyed meeting all kinds of people from all over the globe, and it was the enrichment that you just cannot put a price on! The lunch was very filling and even the sandwiches were good. I had a salad and could just barely finish it. It was what we wanted out of a tour and Victoria, Joan and our fellow travelers were the added benefit that are not really expounded on within the reviews. Tremendous experience for us!

Kurt and Joan were wonderful. We had not so cool weather. Appropriate amount of time at the exhibits and flexibility for personal preference. I would recommend it to anyone.

It was great having easy access to Alcatraz. Plenty of time on the Island to do everything we wanted to. The trolley tour was interesting and we went many sites - unfortunately a few of them were just drive by views instead of getting off the trolley and being able to walk around and take pictures, like Lombard St, the crookedest street in the world. We were able to explore both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge and enjoyed the opportunity to take pictures there. A nice tour for an overall exposure to San Francisco.

I am sorry that I cannot give an overall rating because my husband and I were unable to take this tour. My husband fell in the San Francisco Airport on the escalator and was taken to the Emergency Room. We did not get to our hotel room until 3 in the morning on the day of our tour.

I didn’t have much time in SF so trying to find a tour to fit everything in was easier than I thought with this tour. Jessica was great very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour got me the sites that I most wanted in a short time. The cable car trip was great. Highly recommend if you don’t have much time in the Bay.

If in San Francisco, you must do this tour! We were out on the first boat of the day so arrived before all the crowds. On the day we went all tours were sold out for 2 weeks ahead, so make sure you book well in advance We were free to tour the island at our own pace within a given time period. The audio tour of the prison building was just brilliant, very interesting and informative. We even met a former prison guard who was there to chat to. On our return from the island we were provided with lunch the transported around San Francisco picking up on the main sights and taken across Golden Gate Bridge. Great driver, informative guide, well planned tour. Enjoy it, we did!
