About this activity
After hotel pickup in San Jose ( if selected) , take a scenic drive northeast through agricultural lands and coffee plantations. Arrive less than an hour later at Rainforest Adventures Costa Rica Atlantic, a private ecotourism nature reserve spanning 1,174 acres (475 hectares).

Start your visit with a multimedia presentation on the nature reserve and stroll down a trail taking you deep into the rainforest. Stop by the hanging bridge over the rushing Molinete River, which you’ll get to know during your ziplining adventure.

Your aerial journey through the canopy consists of 10 cables with 14 platforms. Receive a safety briefing, and then step onto your first platform. When you’re ready, strap on top-quality gear and jump off! Fly 263 feet (80 meters) across the river to a platform on the other side by a caobilla tree.

Zoom along another cable, 459 feet (140 meters) long, across the waters, over an island, and land on a platform at the base of a ridge. Walk to the next zipline near a rare and massive tree locally known as a tostado, and fly along to another platform located at the river’s edge.

As you work your way through the ziplines, guides are present on-site to ensure your safety and answer questions you may have regarding the plant and wildlife you see along the way.

Catch your breath and prepare yourself for the mother of all ziplines in the region: the Adrena-Line. At a height of 197 feet (60 meters) above the ground, go the distance — 2,297 feet (700 meters) to be exact — and speed up to 34 miles per hour (55 km per hour).

Your daredevil feats complete, enjoy transport back to San Jose.

The guides Marvin and Jonathan were amazing! What a great first time zip lining! The nature walk afterwards was super and lots of great information and animals to see!

Unfortunately it was pouring down rain when we got there however we ate lunch before we zipped and it did stop for a while. Personally, I would have rather eaten lunch afterwards as we all know you get the stomach bubbles when doing anything challenging. I was lucky that I held it down though. LOL Lunch was very tasty and the atmosphere was very nice. There was enough guides to help us however, twice when I was coming to the next platform, the guy wasn't paying attention to stop me. I was yelling and it was a close call as they do brake you unlike other zip lines where you have to break yourself. Having them do this, we they did, was a relief and added to my enjoyment not having to worry about doing it. I was also nice that we didn't have to do a long walk to the higher and longer platforms, we took the bus. This day was my birthday and I had this on my bucket list to zip line the highest or the longest one. Well it surely met my expectations on the longest, half a mile for the last one. I loved every minute of that one and turned 64, it was the icing on the cake!!! I would highly recommend this tour for any thrill seekers, you won't be disappointed and was well work the cost!

Great experience! The tour guides were very nice and knowledgeable and we felt safe the whole time. We had ziplined before, but the lines here are much longer than the ones at home. Lunch was great and the tour of the wildlife and plant life was nice as well. We really enjoyed this trip.
