Visit the Lankester Botanical Garden and beautiful Orosi Valley on this tour.

Heading south from San Jose the journey will take you past fertile lands in which all types and forms of vegetation are cultivated, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

On arrival at Cartago you will visit the Our Lady of the Angels Basilica, which is a famous pilgrimage site, named after the patron saint of Costa Rica. The Basilica has large, vaulted ceilings and exquisite examples of stained glass windows, and is a must-see.

The beautiful Lankester Gardens are home to more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and countless other species of plants. You will be amazed by the colorful variety of plants at the gardens which are operated by the University of Costa Rica Center for investigation.

See one of the few remaining colonial churches at the Orosi Valley, an area that overflows with unparalleled beauty. Lastly, enjoy a typical lunch of local cuisine.
