About this activity

The Hanging Bridges tour at San Luis Adventure Park consists of a walk along a circular path, which crosses over six suspension bridges located at different heights in the forest, with lengths ranging from 29 to 117 meters long, the trail stretches over a distance of 1800 meters.

Visit the garden of hummingbirds at the start of the trail and appreciate their beautiful colors.

During the tour you will reach the highest level of the forest, the upper canopy, and witness the forest from a different perspective, just how the monkeys and other native species view their environment. Listen out for the relaxing sounds of water, from the hidden waterfalls. See tropical orchids and other plants on the forest floor and breathe in the forest aromas as you enjoy this wonderful walk of discovery.

Along the route you will enjoy various ecosystems that will make it more diverse and interesting. Notice the changes in vegetation; from secondary forests, edge or transition, gallery or riparian forests to mature and primary forest, your guide will be on hand to point out some of the features along the way.

At the end of the tour awaits a butterfly garden full of iconic species including the blue butterfly (morpho peleides) among others.

All in all, this is a perfect adventure for those who want to experience Costa Rica's natural beauty on a day trip from San Jose.
