In Toconao we will visit the San Lucas church and the 18th century bell tower in its square, built entirely with a white volcanic rock called Liparite, and the town’s signature fruit orchards.

Stop At: Salar de Atacama, Antofagasta Chile

In the Atacama Salt Flat, the largest salt flat in Chile and the third largest in the world, we will explore the trails of the Chaxa Lagoon, a special place, surrounded by volcanoes and mountain ranges; very rich biodiversity, its waters rich in plankton and crustaceans and is a nesting place and habitat for three flamingo species found in Chile: the Andean, Chilean, and James’s flamingoes. This lagoon fills us with peace. Laguna Chaxar is a must-see for bird lovers.Unlike other lagoons, we cannot bathe here, but that is no impediment to enjoy the ride.
