Atacama Balloon Flight - Lascar Experience

Phaway's sunrise balloon flight experiences depart each morning from San Pedro de Atacama, in the north of Chile.

The Lascar experience begins the evening before when our pilot meets you, to brief you on the details of your flight the next morning. He will also deliver a Phaway gift.

Next morning your pick up arrives at your accommodation just before first light to transfer you to the desert launch site just a few minutes outside the village. There you will be greeted by your professional pilot and crew, who will provide you with hot drinks and a comprehensive safety briefing.

Sunrise from the Air - Phaway's balloons are inflated and launched at dawn to view the spectacular sunrise from the air. With the sun rising behind the Andes just to our east and high above us, the illumination and shadows across the Atacama are unique. After launch, your pilot climbs and descends gently to navigate the balloon using the morning winds. From your secure position aloft the impressive views of many Andean volcanoes including the active Volcan Lascar, Valle de la Luna, and Cordillera de la Sal, and the Salar de Atacama with it hidden Lagunas.

After your flight of an hour, you'll land gently in the desert to enjoy a champagne toast. At the landing, you will be served a generous buffet breakfast of fresh fruits, Swiss chocolates, croissants and bread just baked by our local French baker.
