Let's go for an hike at night time through the desert of Atacama and discover the way the habitants of the Andes were looking at the sky!
We are going to spend 3 hours in easy going walk that will take us to the night journey of the Incas messengers (the Chasqui).
We will start just before the Sunset, from the town of San Pedro de Atacama.
During the walk we will talk about the history of the Ancient civilisation, like Incas and Tiwanaku, we will learn about the Andean constellations,and look at the sky with the eyes of the people of the Andes, we will learn how to spot different celestials corps and Your guide will give you a light induction about astronomy.
We will be guided by the stars and at the end of our walk we will take a rest with some hot wine and snacks.
A van will take You back to Your hotel, where You will be free to think about the things you have learned, the message the stars has given to you and great experience You just have with Us.
If you're night hiking under a full moon, you won't even need a headlamp — but you should always have a good light source along, just in case clouds roll in or terrain blocks you from the light.
