Continuing through desert areas, the diadem of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, the Laguna Colorada, the main nesting center for the three species of flamingos, whose algae activated by solar radiation and wind give both the lagoon and pink color, will open to our eyes. to the legs and part of the plumage of these exotic birds. These fantastic deserts are owners of the entire terracotta palette. Reds, oranges, ochres, bronzes, coffees and beiges follow one another in every curve of the road, fighting the attention of the traveler. Day 3: Tahua - Salar de Uyuni - Uyuni

Stop At: Tunupa Volcano, La Plata, Bolivar y Sucre., Uyuni 45324 Bolivia
Today we will dedicate ourselves to the unknown salt for tourism or Salar Sensual. By the crust of salt we will direct our 4X4 towards Ch'jini, very little visited by the tourism in spite of its beauty without pair.

From here we will continue through the salt crust and we will direct our 4X4 towards Coquesa, to the north, from where the ascent will start in 4x4 to gain an appreciable height in the Thunupa, from where the views of the Monumental Salt Flat are impressive. Start of a short walk to see the chullpar, cave with ancient burials, in which a local guide will explain the history of the mummies.

On our way to the hotel we will visit the Chantani Museum, with its sample of ceramics, whimsical stone forms that resemble animals and their silent mummies that refer to the ancient burials in these lands.

Next we will visit the Ch'jini cave, resulting from an underwater geological formation with calcareous bodies, product of the dissolution of calcium carbonate in contact with the subterranean and meteoric waters formed in the pre-glacial period 16,000 years ago. The beauty and fragility of these geological formations have forced the community to organize the visit in small groups no larger than 5. After this visit we will continue bordering the north and west banks of the Salar, with brief stops at some points to steal images of angles never seen by tourism.

It is an intimate corner of the Salar Sensual, of incomparable landscape beauty, but also of a spiritual presence that emanates from the stone buildings, more than a thousand years old, that makes us think about the way of life of the populations ancestral Return to the car.

Then we will return to the Salar towards its center, the Incahuasi Island, tourist attention center that has an ascension path to its summit that turns into an extraordinary 360 degree viewpoint and that surprises by the amount of giant cactus (Echinopsis atacamensis) that populate the Island, which is also a manifest sample of the petrified volcanic lava-like rock on top of the rocks and that its origin is the "Blue Alga" or Fossil Stromatolites, one of the oldest life testimonies of the earth. The underwater bacteria that formed them have developed in the times of Lake Michín (40 thousand years ago) and Lake Tauka (11 thousand years ago) that kept the whole island under water.

We will continue our journey to the Colchin Salt Mounds, after brief stops at the Hotel de Sal Museum and a water hole. They will be the last stops in the Salar, for the final photographs with the sunset where we will taste national cocoteles and exotic drinks for this event.

Half an hour later we will arrive to Uyuni and we will finish our services with the security of having given them an unforgettable experience in this corner of the world (D, A).
