Itinerary

Day 1: City Tour San Salvador

Stop At: National Theater San Salvador, Calle Delgado avenida monseñor Romero, in fornt of Plaza Morazán, San Salvador El Salvador
We start in San Salvador city, our local guide will be happy to show you our historical capital and teach you about country's history, culture and people. You will visit the historical center of San Salvador, with its cathedral and mausoleum of Monsignor Romero, the colorful handicraft market, National Palace ,Rosary church, National Theater and most important square. Furthermore panaramic tour of modern and new neighborhoods of the city where you can have a great lunch or dinner.
Duration: 5 hours

Day 2: Santa Ana Volcano ( Ilamatepec) Hiking time and Cerro Verde National Park

Stop At: Santa Ana Volcano, Parque Nacional Cerro Verde, Santa Ana 2201 El Salvador
The highest and most imponet volcano in the country, with an emerald green lagoon at the top. This amazing active volcano is waiting for you. 1.30 min. hiking .1.30 m. to go down. After hiking you will visit Cerro Verde National Park to have lunch.

Day 3: Mayan Tour: Joya de Cerén, Tazumal and Coatepeque Lake.

Stop At: Joya de Ceren Archaeological Park, Km 32, Carr San Juan Opico - Agua Escondida, San Salvador El Salvador
Mayan Culture is so important for Central America people, in this place you will learn about daily life of Mayas and many customs and traditions of them
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Tazumal, Chalchuapa El Salvador
Discover one of the ancient mayas traditions ofering sacrifice to Xipe-totec god and learn about the oldest archaeological site from this amazing civilization.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Lake Coatepeque, Coatepeque El Salvador
The most bautiful lake of El Salvador with 26 km square. You can do optional Kayaking, ride boat etc.
Duration: 3 hours

Day 4: Ruta de las Flores: 3 villages, Waterfalls, people and volcanoes.

Stop At: Nahuizalco Park, Nahuizalco, El Salvador
Nahuizalco is an indiginous village, the main economic product of this people are crafts made of vegetable fiber , the market is very popular cause its people and products.
Duration: 50 minutes

Day 5: La Palma : Pintoresque village, people and Traditional Food.

Stop At: Artesanias Taller Paty, Barrio San Antonio No. 24, La Palma 1314 El Salvador
Fernando Llort had a big influence in the decoration os this little town . His colorfull images have been decorated all over town, mass production of these arts you can see in all the local art shops, also we are going to do a rural tour in the outsides of the town , you will learn how to make traditional food for salvadoreans and how to paint. After this, we move to Suchitoto.

• Dinner: Pupusas and Traditional dessert " Quesadilla"
Accommodation included: Hotel El Tejado, Suchitoto.

Day 6: Suchitoto- Puerto Barillas lodge.

Stop At: Lake Suchitlan, Suchitoto El Salvador
Suchitoto is a colonial city that surprised for its church , musuems and indigo process. After Lunch, we left Suchitoto to drive to Puerto Barillas lodge.
Duration: 5 hours

Meals included:
• Breakfast
Accommodation included: Puerto Barillas Lodge. Tree House. Bay of Jiquilisco.

Day 7: Puerto Barillas, Monkey Tour and Return to San Salvador.

Stop At: SPA InterContinental San Salvador, Boulevard de Los Heroes y Avenida Sisimiles Hotel Real InterContinental, San Salvador 0544 El Salvador
In the morning, we take a monkey tour and cacao crops. Also, depending of time you can make optionally a Kayak along the canals and mangroves forest where you can see the diverse wildlife taht exist in the bay of jiquilisco. In the afternoon , we move to San Salvador.
