Adventure Hike Izalco Volcano - Lighthouse of the Pacific

This is an exciting hiking tour to the top of Izalco Volcano, better known as”The Lighthouse of the Pacific.” The Izalco is one of the youngest volcanoes in the American Continent and was formed in the year 1770. Its perfect cone is totally devoid of vegetation; the slopes have inclinations of up to 45 degrees, making it a serious challenge even for the most expert of mountain hikers. If you like the outdoors and the extreme, this is definitely your tour. We arrive first at the Cerro Verde National Park and then join the group tour to Izalco with daily departures organized with the local authorities. Cerro Verde is an inactive volcano located at an altitude of 2035 meters and length of 500 hectares.
