Explore the main streets and avenues of this buzzing metropolis on strolls past the impressive Salvador del Mundo and Masferrer squares. Once you land in the city’s historic downtown area, where you can do as the locals do: hit cafés and shops.
Your sense of wonder is awakened upon entering the El Rosario church. From outside, the concrete structure looks a typical minimalist design from the 1970s, but once you walk inside expect to find a rainbow of color splash across the altar thanks to the stained-glass ceilings.
