Catalina Island Flying Fish Tour

This tour leaves from Avalon, the only city on Catalina Island located 26 miles off the Southern California coast. You will board Catallac from the iconic Green Pleasure Pier located in the center of Avalon. As you board Catallac you will note that there is 360 degree viewing from any spot on board, even with a full load of 49 passengers, she is roomy and comfortable. Our safety speech is completed by the time we leave the harbor, and the tour is on. Flying fish can be seen swimming out of the path of the boat and launching into the air. We frequently find sea lions herding and chasing the flyers into flights as long as a couple hundred yards. At the end of our run we turn the boat back toward Avalon and turn out the lights for a cruise under the stars and a return to the Green Pier.
