Maderas Volcano Hike

Maderas Volcano is the third highest in Nicaragua at 4574 ft/1394 m. Here you will find 3 kinds of forest: dry, tropical and cloud. A large variety of wildlife can been seen. At approximately 2300 ft/700 m, we arrive at the viewpoint for a magnificent view of the lake and Concepcion. To get to the lagoon we need to hang on to a rope rail for about 15 minutes, as part of the 150m descent. This hike takes 7-8 hrs up and down. We also offer a hike to the viewpoint only, where you will see more of the plantations and likely monkeys.
