Night Route at Teide National Park with Stargaze

Candelaria Life and Trekking offers you a guided route in the Teide National Park, making a circuit around a volcanic cone, with magnificent night-time panoramic views of La Orotava and the Teide, ending with amazing stargazing.
The Teide National Park occupies the highest area of the island of Tenerife (in the Canary Islands) and Spain. Declared a National Park in 1954, it is the largest and oldest of the national parks of the Canary Islands and the third oldest in Spain. In 2007 it was declared a World Heritage Site and since then it has also been considered one of the 12 Treasures of Spain.
The Teide volcano, with its 3718 meters, is the highest peak in the Canary Islands and Spain. La Orotava is a municipality belonging to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). The municipal capital is located in the town of La Orotava.
The historic centre of La Orotava was declared a National Historic-Artistic Site in 1976 and is included in the Inventory for the Protection of European Cultural Heritage as a Monumental Site. As a highlight, a large part of the Teide National Park is located within La Orotava municipal boundaries. Also, it’s the highest municipality in Spain and with the highest slope, its municipal area ranges from sea level to 3,718 metres from the peak of Teide.
On this route you will be taken to visit several viewpoints, including Narices del Teide, to see the sunset and then move on to another point, for an explanation with the help of a Starlight Guide, who will explain from science, the stellar heritage that night nature offers, as well as cosmic landscapes.
The pick-up point for this tour is the Candelaria Life and Trekking office at 17:00-18:00, depending on the time of sunset. From there they will take you to the different viewpoints.
