Private Tenerife-Gardens of the Atlantic
Step back in time when we take you to visit the spectacular rural mountains of Anaga. This protected forest is carpeted with prehistoric laurel trees and deep ravines and it is here that we walk for approximately 30 minutes through nature at its purest. The park is an extremely beautiful area, full of spectacular contrasts
We will follow one of the trails where you will see many unusual rock formations but most impressive of all will be the sea of clouds. From the viewpoint of Cruz del Carmen you can look down over the Atlantic and see the beautiful beach of san Benijo which is one of the most remotest beaches on tenerife.
Although it is rich in flora Anaga is also rich in Fauna and you might be lucky to see different species of emblematic birds such as kestrels, owls and the laurel pidgeons. Along the way you will enjoy the stories of the local guide and the knowledge they have of the island.
Our next stop will be to head back into the capital of Santa Cruz and visit the Palmetum which is a 12 hectare botanical garden that specialises in all different palm trees from all over the world. We will take a guided tour through the different sections where you will see waterfalls, streams and ponds and the museum which is dedicated to the Palms.
Featured in the park are over 2000 of plant species including the largest collection of palms which are the main attraction but you will also see the upside down tree, breadfruit tree and the mangroves.
This tour is definitely one for nature lovers and you will be truly amazed at the beatutiful Flora and Fauna that Tenerife has to offer.
You will be taken back to your cruise ship in time for embarkation.
