Itinerary
Imagine you've been invited to a cocktail party and painting lesson by Frida Kahlo. She welcomes you with plates of her favorite foods and drinks. Music plays in the background as you sip your drink, mingle with guests and take in Frida's vibrant studio and collection of folk art. We will then have a salon-style discussion of Frida's life, her relationship with her husband Diego Rivera, a famous Mexican muralist, their circle of friends, famous poets, revolutionaries and artists. We'll study her sources of inspiration, view images of her paintings and hear her personal thoughts regarding her artwork through a short audio-visual presentation.
We will then transition to the hands on painting portion of the evening, a fun step by step painting process in which participants create their very own beautiful, 11x14 Frida Kahlo-inspired painting. All guests will paint the same subject and be assisted through each step of the process with demonstrations and one-on-one help. At the end of the evening guests leave with their own painting to hang at home, a souvenir of a special immersive art-experience in Santa Fe.

- Snacks - An array of plates of Frida Kahlo's favorite foods. These foods were influenced by the combination of their passions for both the indigenous peoples of Mexico and the traditional foods of Spain.
- Alcoholic Beverages - Beer, Cocktail, Spirits Limit 2 cocktails / beer per guest. We will be serving traditional margaritas made with tequila fresh lime juice and salt, Bohemia beer from Mexico
- Bottled water - We will also serve pineapple juice and bottled water.
- Creative supplies; The art studio is fully equipped with all supplies guests will need.
