SUDS + MUD Pottery Class!

About this activity
Itinerary

Paseo Pottery is housed inside a rustic little adobe built in the early 1900s in the railyard district of Santa Fe. Classes are taught by local ceramic artists who volunteer their time, and 100% of net profits to charity. Paseo Pottery has joined the rank of a growing number of businesses embracing a radical form of conscious capitalism: cover costs, then donate rest to improve society.

After setting you up with a beverage (a variety of intoxicants is offered, and you're welcome to BYOB as well), your teacher will take you on an insider’s tour of the studio, teaching briefly about the production process—throwing, trimming, drying, bisquing, glazing, and firing. Then you'll get right to playing in the mud!

During the class, you’ll get to throw on the wheel or hand build or perhaps a bit of both. Before the end of the class, you’ll choose your favorite glazes, then over the coming weeks we will walk your works of art through the rest of the process, and we can mail your pieces to you when they’re ready.
