About this activity
You will leave by 4x4 vehicle in a trip of approximately 3 hours, in which you can enjoy the stunning landscape of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, crossing several panoramic points with great views of the Sierra and the Caribbean Sea. On the way, we will arrive at Villa Kogui Limítrofe, where a family of this ethnic group descendant of the Tayronas, will be your host. They will share with visitors, some of their Koguis traditions and emblematic stories. You will be welcomed by a host family who will teach you about the importance of various rites of culture, their customs, and beliefs. A tree will be planted in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in symbolic representation of the environmental awareness that the Koguis tribes promulgate. The women of this family intend that the ancestral art of weaving not be lost, so during this tour, they will have the opportunity to learn a part of this incredible art. Lunch will be according to Kogui tradition to share with the family a very special moment. Once the activities are completed, it will depart from Mulkuakungui to Santa Marta to be close to 05:00 p.m. in the place of accommodation.

Day 1:

After a trekking of about 3 hours in which you can enjoy the stunning landscape of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, we will arrive at the Villa Kogui Limítrofe, where a family of this ethnic group descendant of the Tayronas, will be your host. They will share with visitors, some of their Koguis traditions and emblematic stories and of utmost importance to them. Among the activities that are planned during this tour, there is the spiritual reception of the host family, where they will learn about the importance of the coca leaf and poporo for the Koguis. The women in this family have the intention that the ancestral art of weaving is not lost, so during this tour, you will have the opportunity to learn a part of this incredible art. Lunch will be according to the Kogui tradition and sharing with the family. In the afternoon, there will be a walk around the area and enjoy a relaxing bath in the Quebrada del Sol, named after the natives. After dinner, around a campfire, you will have the opportunity to listen to the mamo "Nuvita", who will tell ancestral stories.

Day 2:

That night you will sleep with the family, depending on availability or in a room or in hammocks. After breakfast, they will share with the family and teach part of their ancestral arts. Lunch with the family is scheduled. Once the lunchtime is over and Rest, we begin the return to Santa Marta to be close to 5:00 p.m. in the place of accommodation.
