About this activity
You’ll depart Santiago de Compostela at 09:15 by bus for a 9-hour excursion to Rias Baixas, returning at around 19:00.

Detailed Itinerary

The first stop is Pontevedra. Visit the old town of Pontevedra and discover one of the best-preserved historic centers in Galicia. Founded in Roman times it was the main engine of the region for centuries. See the ruins of Santo Domingo, the Church of the Peregrina, and other monuments on a tour of the most interesting parts of the monumental area.

The tour continues to Combarro. Stop to admire this picturesque town that’s the perfect example of popular architecture, and features an abundance of granaries and stone crosses. Take a river boat ride with a visit to the mussel rafts and the island of Tambo. Enjoy mussels and wine onboard. Afterwards, you’ll have free time for lunch.

After lunch, the next stop is A Lanzada Beach. This is one of the most famous beaches in Galicia. Its fine sand, 2.5 kilometers of open water, amenities, and cleanliness make it worthy of the Blue Flag year after year.

The journey ends in Cambados. Visit the Plaza de Fefiñanes, a charming space that’s home to the 17th-century manor giving the square its name. See the arch bridge, the Church of San Benito, and a group of houses built in the popular architectural style.

Back to Santiago, arriving at 7:00 pm
