Stop At: Concha y Toro, Avenida Virginia Subercaseaux 210, Pirque 9480092 Chile

We will pass to your hotel at 1:00 p.m., to arrive after 40 min. to Pirque where the visit begins in Don Melchor square, where tourists will be greeted by a guide, who will invite you to enjoy a panoramic view of the Pirque vineyard accompanied by a glass of wine, so that you can soak up aromas and flavors that emerge step by step in this hundred-year-old cellar.

With the glass in your hand, the visitor takes part in a walk through the old park, going back in time to appreciate the Casona de Pirque, residence of the Concha y Toro family. In this place, the largest viticultural company of our country was born more than 100 years ago.

In the vineyards of Pirque you will be able to know the development of the vines, cultural and technological management that are responsible for a first quality yield. To get to know the old facilities and witness the legend, Viña Concha y Toro offers you a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

MY sisters and I had a great time here, it reminded me of wineries in Tuscany. There was a video that told us of old stories about the families business and the grounds were very nice to walk around. I would have enjoyed a few more samples of wine on the tour but they gave us a free wine glass gift as part of the tour. As for the pick up arrangements from the hotel, despite confirming our pick up date and time within the requested time frame, there was a last minute change in our pick up time. We were not given enough warning about the change and not sure why it was pushed back 90 minutes. Our driver did show up at the new time relatively promptly and then waited for us while we were on our tour. He also put on an English radio station for us. Tour was in English and fun!

This is a nice trip. You pay to have a guided tour on winery. It's nice, well organizei and short tour. I recommend going on March, when the threes are full of grapes.

We were picked up at 12:30 PM, as scheduled, by a van with a driver and a guide. Instead of going directly to the winery, we were led to a restaurant in Pirque El Manso Toro. No other options were offered. Even as we had already eaten, we decided to try it out. Service was terrible, the ambient was inadequate, as it was open and hot, without air conditioning, and there were flies over the tables. Price was higher than the food quality deserved. It took us more than one hour, after what we were rushed into the winery. The tour at Concha y Toro was only OK, as the grapes garden walk was short and superficial. The wine tasting was OK, but the same glass was used for both tastings. The Casillero del Diablo cellar was less than interesting, as the video effects were only basic. Even our 12 years old son wasn't impressed. Concha y toro's site informs that people under 18 doesn't pay entrance fee, but the tour price was the same for our 12 years old son. To summarize, the service provided was only a transfer service, without any significant benefit from the guide presence. We lost more than one hour of the 4 hours of the tour at the restaurant and the price paid was therefore inadequate for the services provided.
