About this activity
We begin our tour "Neruda Road" from your hotel at 8:30am. Our first stop will be Isla Negra where we reserve scheduled at 10:10am.
In the evocative power of objects stored and its environment dominated by the presence of the sea, the house in Isla Negra is a compendium of visual and material of Neruda's poetic imagination.
The place was originally called Las Gaviotas. The poet renamed it Isla Negra by the color of its rocks and perhaps because there could be isolated to write.
Upon returning from Europe to Chile in 1937 and looking for a place to pursue his Canto General, a great book came up about American history and nature. "The wild coast of Isla Negra, with the tumultuous ocean motion, let me give myself passionately to the company of my new song" - wrote in his memoirs.
Pablo Neruda is our winner of the Nobel Prize for literature and leaving Isla Negra we depart toward the house museum of La Sebastiana in Valparaiso.
After out visit to this unique museum, enjoy lunch in Viña del Mar (lunch not included) and then visit the most important sites in the area.
After this visit, we will return to Santiago to La Chascona Museum. This is our last museum visit taking place at around 4:30pm to 5:00pm. Finish your day with drop-off at your hotel.
The tour includes admission. Not available on Mondays because museums in Chile are closed on this day.
