After picking you up at a place of your choice, stop at Firostefani. stroll through the village towards the famous blue-domed churches where you have the opportunity to explore this traditional village on your own. You will also see and learn about the geological formation of the island, the genesis, and history of Santorini.

Continue through scenic countryside to the village of Oia, the most photographed location in Santorini.

Stop At: Monastery of Profitis Ilias, 3 km from Pyrgo Thira, Moni Profitou Ilia, Moni Profitou Iliou 847 00 Greece
Head to Profitis Ilias, which is the highest hill in Santorini. From its top (567 m) enjoy the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea. There, you will get to visit a Greek Orthodox chapel, listen to the sounds of Byzantine music and get a taste of their hand-made products.

Santorini is also home to its own ancient ruins: the site of Akrotiri, an ancient Minoan village that was buried by the island’s colossal volcanic eruption. Don't miss the chance to see the incredible, well-preserved remnants of the settlement for yourself.

Afterwards, it’s on to the island’s appropriately named Red Beach. Named for their distinctively colored sand, and offer stunning views over the Aegean Sea.

On way to the south, stop to explore the famous black beaches and its nice viewpoint. Take many beautiful pictures of this unique landscape.

Lastly, wind your tour down with an indulgent stop at a local winery. Santorini has produced its own wine since ancient times, and sampling its varietals is the perfect way to get a taste of the island’s history.

Our guide, Theodore met us exactly on time. He gave us a walking tour and told us all about the town. We then went by car to Thira town, Firostefani, Oia, Black Beach, and Santos Winery. We stopped and took lots of pictures, did some shopping. Met some locals he knew and had a wonderful Greek meal. At the end of the tour, he walked us back to some of the shops he knew had what we were looking for. All in all this was the most fun day of our seven day cruise. Don't miss this opportunity if you go to Santorini.
On May 17, 2018 my husband and I and 6 friends booked a Half day Private custom tour of Santorini Island thru Viator. Theodore was our guide. After getting off our ship and taking the cable car to the top, Theodore was there with a sign showing my name so it was easy to find him. He asked what we wanted to see and we mentioned some things and he then said he would take us to the must see places. We proceeded to take a trip from one end of the island to the other with many stops in between. He drove us around in a very comfortable air conditioned SUV. Theodore was very knowledgeable about the island and shared many interesting things with us. He was super accommodating and at the end allowed us a little extra time to do some wine tasting. Theodore was also a great photographer and offered to take group shots for us. It was an amazing day and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour and Theodore!
