Stop At: Castelli of Pyrgos, Pyrgos 84701 Greece

Enjoy a unique walking tour with a bold traditional character. Our starting point is the village of Pyrgos. Built in the middle of the island on a hill, Pyrgos is the highest settlement on Santorini. Hiking up to the castle, you will be amazed with the panoramic view of the entire Caldera. The feeling in the castle and its surrounding grounds is like walking through a labyrinth; make sure you keep up or you may get lost! The white and blue traditional houses, dense walkways, the smile of the local inhabitants and the way how everything is build on this hill, combined with the 360 degree view of Santorini, makes Pyrgos an atmospheric village.

Stop At: Megalochori - Traditional Village, Megalochori Greece

We then continue our adventure to Megalochori, passing through the countryside with some of the famous Santorinian vineyards, which create the globally awarded Assyrtiko white and Vinsanto red. In Megalochori, we will view the rare white domed churches, cave houses (canaves) and the most beautiful, central village square of the island, where the locals will welcome us with their “filoxenia” (hospitality) for a Greek meze. Afterwards, we will head towards the caldera and away from the hustle and bustle, and will find ourselves looking at the sunset through a naturally heart-shaped window to the most breathtaking setting of the sun, one of the most unique spots this island has to offer... A uniqueexperience!
