Cherry Blossom: South Hokkaido Flower Viewing at Goryokaku and Matsumae Park

This tour is ideal for those looking for a hassle-free way to reach South Hokkaido from Sapporo: board your bus with nothing on your mind but the beauty of cherry blossoms!
Wake up early to meet with your tour conductor and catch your bus at Sapporo Station. Sit back and relax while the 4.5-hour comfortable drive takes you to Hakodate, where the famous cherry blossom viewing site Goryokaku Park is located. Spend 1 hour leisurely strolling around the star-shaped park, which used to be a fort in the Tokugawa era.
Hop on the bus again to reach the following destination, Matsumae Park. You will have 80 minutes to freely experience one of the top 100 cherry viewing spots of Japan, with its 10.000 trees belonging to more than 250 species, some of which are unique to this location.
While it’s easy to lose track of time under the beautiful pink blossoms, be sure to be on time for the bus that will take you back to Sapporo station, where your tour concludes around 23:00.
Complete the cherry blossom viewing experience with traditional Japanese lunch box provided, so no need to worry about lunch time as you can have it anytime you like.
*Dinner is not included. Also, there is no shop to purchase dinner on the return route and the arrival time is quite late.
"Abalone bento" boxed dinner prepared by the famous traditional inn Yano is available for order at least 5 days in advance, at a separate cost (JPY1,350 tax included). Please pay the lunch box fee to a tour conductor in cash on the tour day.

- Delays or omissions made to the itinerary due to traffic, weather or other circumstances that are beyond the control of the tour operator are not subject to refund
- According to traffic conditions etc, the order of the itinerary may be changed and the bus arrival may be delayed
- If the tour operator has to cancel the tour because of a typhoon, heavy snow or other circumstances beyond their control, this will be decided by 3pm the day before tour departure; you will be informed by e-mail and suggest a new departure date or receive full refund
- During the cherry blossoms viewing season, roads and sightseeing spots might become heavily congested and arrival to each place might be delayed. In some cases, shortenings or omissions may occur due to congestion during this time
- The best time to view cherry blossoms varies depending on the weather and temperature of the season. This tour is organized with reference to the blooming conditions of previous years, however blooming season varies depending on the climate. In some cases you might not able to enjoy the scenery as shown in the photo. Visiting time at the sightseeing places might be shortened depending on the blooming conditions.
- Wearing clothes and shoes that let you move easily and comfortably is strongly recommended
- This tour is operated for both Japanese and foreign customers. A Japanese tour conductor with an English-speaking staff will accompany the tour and will provide you with some necessary information during the trip, but he/she is not responsible for providing any detailed introduction of attractions
- This tour tour departs early in the morning and arrives late at night. Make sure to check your transportation route and timetable to the meeting place. In addition, when the tour finishes and public transportation has ended its operation, you might have to use a taxi. (Scheduled arrival time is 23:00, but there might be a possibility of delay due to traffic congestion or bad weather.)
- Dinner is not included in the tour, and there is no shop to purchase dinner on the return route. Optional boxed dinner (Abalone Bento, no drinks included) is available at a separate cost (JPY 1,350 yen tax included). If you would like to purchase the bento box, please inform us at least 5 days prior to the departure date. Please pay cash to the tour conductor on the day of the tour.
