Stop At: Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery, 7-6 Kurokawacho, Yoichi-cho, Yoichi-gun 046-0003 Hokkaido

Visit the Yoichi Nikka Whiskey Distillery, an old distillery built in 1934, which produces some of the finest whiskey in the world. Experience the impressive architectures of Still House and study the changes in color and aroma of whiskey overtime while walking around the main buildings and tasting samples.
After an hour at the distillery (and feeling a little light-headed from the early morning whiskey tasting), getting some fresh air and appreciating the breathtaking natural scenery is just the answer as the tour heads to Cape Kamui.

Spend 50 minute taking in the wonderful views of Shakotan and you will find out exactly why the sea around Shakotan is nicknamed 'Shakotan Blue'. Take a stroll to the tip of Cape Kamui and enjoy the fabulous combination of the blue sky, the blue sea, wild flowers and the grandiosity of steep cliffs.

The morning activities are likely to have worked up a hunger, so enjoy a 40 minute lunch at Ushio, a restaurant with excellent view of the sea. The menu is a sea urchin rice bowl lunch, a local delicacy of Shakotan.

A perfect way to digest your meal is to contemplate the spectacular views of the Shimamui Coast, one of the 100 most beautiful coasts of Japan. The impressive azure sea on one side, together with colorful flowers on the cliffs on the other, is stunning.

After, head to the last destination of the tour Bikuni Port to ride the glass-bottomed boat for 40 minutes to see the 'Shakotan Blue' sea up close. A chance to spot wildlife is also highly likely such as sea-eagles, seals, sea-lions and other marine creatures. Relaxing on a bat with nothing but nature is a perfect way to conclude the tour!

Before going back to Sapporo, the bus will stop at Otaru for the drop off.

According to traffic conditions etc, the order of the itinerary may be changed and the bus arrival may be delayed.
Wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes is strongly recommended. Also, since you will spend a lot of time outside, please prepare a hat/cap, parasol and water.
Make sure to check your transportation route and timetable to the meeting place. It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time.
The tour picks up guests from different departure points before arriving at the meeting point. The bus could be late depending on the traffic, but it will eventually arrive.
This tour is operated for both Japanese and foreign customers. A Japanese tour conductor with an English-speaking staff will accompany the tour and will provide you with some necessary information during the trip, but he/she is not responsible for providing any detailed introduction of attractions
The boat ride is subject to cancellation in case of the bad weather, high waves or strong wind etc. In such a case, you will receive a refund of the boat ride fare.
