Stop At: Hokuseino-oka Observatory Park, Okubo Kyosei, Biei-cho, Kamikawa-gun 071-0216 Hokkaido

We first visit Hokusei-no Oka located along Patchwork Road, which is in the northern west area of Biei. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful landscape of hills and Taisetsu-zan Mountains.

Stop At: Blue Pond, Matsukami, Fukaura-machi, Nishitsugaru-gun 038-2206 Aomori Prefecture

Biei is renowned for its gentle flower slopes, as well as its painting-like Blue Pond. The waterfall gushes with aluminum merges into Biei River, a colloid is produced and clashes with sunlight, therefore the lake presents the unique blue color. Moreover the withered Japanese birch and larch standing in the lake bring about a still yet gasping beauty.

Stop At: Goto Sumio Art Museum, Kita26 Higashi Line 4, Kamifurano-cho, Sorachi-gun Hokkaido

Upon arrival at Goto Sumio Museum, we will have lunch at Furano Grill which offers local cuisine such as Kami Frano pork, local vegetable and seasonal dessert. Furano Grill is awarded as one of the famed restaurants which serve local fine cuisine in Hokkaido. Opened on the 2nd floor of Goto Sumio Museum, it offers the vast landscape of fields and the Tokachidake Mountains through large windows.

Stop At: Farm Tomita, 15 Kisenkita, Nakafurano-cho, Sorachi-gun 071-0704 Hokkaido

Enjoy the history of lavender and flowers in season at Farm Tomita, the most historical tourist lavender farm in Japan. In the gift shops on site seasonal flowers, soaps, perfume and other original products made of lavender.

We will have lunch as soon as we arrive at the museum. Basic menu: Local fine cuisine, Kami Furano pork, local vegetable and seasonal dessert.
You can rent a multilingual audio device for 300yen. (Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean) Be reminded that devices are limited, and may not be available. For those who are interested, a short presentation on the Goto Sumio Museum (5 - 10 min, in Japanese only) will be given.
The flower garden along the course may not be seen due to inclement weather, the season, slow growth, or pruning.
Duration of sightseeing may be changed due to the traffic and the number of passengers. Please allow enough time for transfer to the other modes of transport, because buses may be delayed due to the traffic jams or adverse weather conditions.
Arrival time will be earlier than scheduled time due to the holiday break or the restriction condition of the facility.
Tours may be cancelled due to a disaster (road closure due to marathon race) etc. Please contact us and check the situation with the tour in the event of abnormal weather.
