Stop At: Asahidake Ropeway, Asahidake Onsen, Higashikawa-cho, Kamikawa-gun 071-1472 Hokkaido

Mt. Daisetsu National Park(0.23million ha) is located in the almost centerl of Hokkaido and the highest Mt. Asahidake (2,291m), which belongs in 2,000m-class mountains continued for 50 km. The Asahidake Ropeway connects Between Sanroku Station (altitude 1,100m) and Sugatami Station (altitude 1,600m) and you can see the Mt. Asahi, Sugatami Pond and the flower field (located in the altitude 1,670m). From the middle of September, colored leaves starts with red carpet.

Stop At: Shikisai no Oka, Dai 3 Shinsei, Biei-cho, Kamikawa-gun 071-0473 Hokkaido

The vast fields of flowers that bloom over the hills of Shikisai-no-Oka make up the beautiful patchwork scenery of Biei. Between 30 to 40 varieties of flowers are planted in the fields that were once owned by farmers, which bloom every year between May and late October. Peak season is between late July and late September. The sight of rolling hills covered in colorful flowers is absolutely spectacular! The first Alpacas to be raised in Hokkaido, are being raised on Shikisai-no-Oka. They are quickly becoming popular mascots to children who visit from all over the world.

  • If the Asahidake Ropeway is closed by the time it is 7:30 AM, the course will be cancelled.
  • This requires the use of the expressway both ways, in order to allow ample time for touring each destination. If by 7:30 AM, the expressway is closed, the tour will be cancelled.
  • A rest area has been prepared(seating).
  • Though a path has been made to Sugatami Pond, please be sure to wear shoes and clothing that are easy for walking. The path can be slippery, so please watch your step.
  • If you show the bus ticket stub, you can get 10 % discount for goods at the Asahidake Ropeway store (excludes the restaurant, includes the shop on the summit).
  • Anytime after late September, there is chance of snowfall on the summit, so please be sure to dress warmly.
  • This course will not take us through the Patchwork Road in Biei.
  • If Asahidake Ropeway is closed on the way to, you will get a refund for the fare. Further, the course schedule will be changed to visit to Farm Tomita and Shimanoshita. Please kindly be noted.
  • The flower garden along the course may not be seen due to inclement weather, the season, slow growth, or pruning.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers
