Stop At: Daisetsuzan Sounkyo - Kurodake Ropeway, Sounkyo, Kamikawa-cho, Kamikawa-gun 078-1701 Hokkaido

The Kurodake Ropeway that holds 101 people will take you to the fifth station from the hot spring spa in Sounkyo in 7 min, which is located on the mountain foot of the Daisetsuzan Mountains. You can see the dynamic landscape from the ropeway, which features Kurodake (1,984m), Keigetsudake (1,938m), Ryoundake (2,125m), Kamikawadake (1,884m), Ishikari River and valleys among ocean of trees. You can feel the breath of cold air at the fifth station of Kurodake (altitude: 1,300m).

Mt. Kurodake is located in the Daisetsuzan National Park known as “roof mountains of Hokkaido” and as one of the largest national parks in Japan. In mid-September, visitors can view the autumn leaves, which is the earliest in Japan. The nature environment of 2000 meters mountains is the same as that of 3000 meters mountains in Honshu, which offers splendid views.

Stop At: Kurodake, Hokkaido

At the rooftop terrace of Daisetsuzan, you can visit “Daisetsuzan Kurodake Museum” which features seasons of Kurodake along the way up to lift terminal. After that, you will have a lunch and rest. (You can also take a bath at the hotel, and admission fee is not included in the tour)

Stroll around and visit Ginga Ryusei-no Taki Water Fall of Daisetsuzan National Park.

The Kurodake ropeway ride takes you to the fifth station of Mt. Kurodake (Departure: 11:40 Duration: 7 min). You can also take a pair-lift to the seventh station for extra pay (round-trip for adults, ¥700, children ¥450) (Duration: 15 min). To enjoy the scenic view of Mt. Kurodake, passengers can make a choice between the two departure time of the ropeway.
A rest place is provided. Lunch will be “Sansai Kinoko Gozen”. If you show a stub of the bus ticket, you can get discount service such as adults or children by ¥600(Face and bath towel rental is ¥220).
This course will not be operated if Kurodake ropeway is closed before we depart. In this case refund will be made.
In the event that Kurodake ropeway closes after departure, the schedule of ropeway ride will be cut and this tour will be finished around 17:15.
Duration of sightseeing may be changed due to the traffic and the number of passengers.
Arrival time will be earlier than scheduled time due to the holiday break or the restriction condition of the facility.
Please allow enough time for transfer to the other modes of transport, because buses may be delayed due to the traffic jams or adverse weather conditions.
Tours may be cancelled due to a disaster (road closure due to marathon race) etc. Please contact us and check the situation with the tour in the event of abnormal weather.
