Tea Ceremony Ren

Our tea house is located near Nijo Market, one of the places of interests in Sapporo, Hokkaido.Therefore, it is very easy to find us. We aim to provide an authentic tea ceremony experience for travelers who visit Hokkaido.
The tea ceremony will last for 45-50 minutes. First, you will be invited to our resting room, have a cup of Kelp tea.
Afterwards, our staff will introduce the history of tea ceremony in Japan and explain the regulations during the tea ceremony briefly. Our staff can speak English, Chinese and Japanese, so you don't need to worry about the communication problems.
After that, you will be taught how to use chopsticks, fans and eat a traditional dessert in a Japanese way. You will have time for practicing and our staff will explain every step in details. Then, you can choose your favorite Kimono and get dressed.（We offer Kimono with different colors, patterns and sizes）
When all the preparation are finished, you can start your tea ceremony experience.
During and after the ceremony, you can take memorial photos by yourself or our staff will take photos for you.
At the end of the tea ceremony, you can also get a present which is made by our tea master.
