The Emperor’s Mosque is Sarajevo’s oldest mosque and one of the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is presumed that Isa Bey Ishaković, the founder of Sarajevo, had this place of worship built soon after the city’s founding in 1462 in honor of Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II “the Great Conqueror”.

I will be explaining rituals, beliefs and practices of Muslims from Balkan. Islam that was carried to Europe by the Ottomans so that religion is mostly tight with their traditions and customs.

You will be able to ask questions, watch Muslim praying in live, meet official Imam of the mosk (priest), take pictures from inside and spend as much as you wish time learning about their history and understandings(pillars).
