Sebilj is a Ottoman-style wooden fountain in the middle of Baščaršija square in Sarajevo built by Mehmed Pasha Kukavica in 1753. It was relocated by Austrian architect Alexander Wittek in 1891.The origins of these fountains can be traced back to the Arabian Peninsula and the custom of building sebiljs was brought to Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Ottomans. Sebiljdžija, workers who received wages from the state or a vakuf (endowment), manned the kiosks and dispensed free water to hungry passersby.

Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque, or Bey’s Mosque, as it is known locally, was built in the center of Baščaršija in 1530. Bey’s Mosque was designed by Adžem Esir Ali, a Persian from Tabriz, who was the chief architect in the Ottoman Empire at that time.Today, this mosque is rightly seen as the most important architectural monument from the time of Ottoman rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The bridge took its name from the neighborhood on the left bank of the Miljacka, where Sarajevo’s Catholics resided.

From 1918 to 1993 the structure bore the name, Principov Most (bridge), after Gavrilo Princip, who was only a few meters from this bridge when he assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sofie. This incident, known as the Sarajevo Assassination, led to the beginning of the 1 World War.

The summer garden that is part of Sarajevo’s Europe Hotel was built on top of the remains of Tašlihan, a stone inn (han) that was erected between 1540 and 1543 by the Ottoman Governor, Gazi Husrev Bey.ašlihan was one of three caravanserais in Sarajevo (along with Morića Han and Kolobara Han) which served both travelers and horses. A caravanserai was actually a large fort-like structure which could accommodate an entire caravan, with all of the pack horses and traders

The Sarajevo Clock Tower is a clock tower in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located beside Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque and is the tallest of 21 clock towers built in the country at 30 m. The clock shows lunar time, in which the hands indicate 12 o'clock at the moment of sunset, the time of the Muslim Maghrib prayer, A caretaker sets the clock's time manually once a week,and it is the only one in Europe with this type of time showing format

The Eternal flame (Bosnian, Vjecna Vatra) is a memorial to the military and civilian victims of the Second World War in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The memorial was dedicated on 6 April 1946, the first anniversary of the liberation of Sarajevo from the four-year-long occupation by Nazi Germany and the fascist Independent State of Croatia.
