Sarajevo city is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the place where different cultures meet and where great empires ruled and left marks all over the country. After the Ottoman empire, Austria-Hungarian empire, communistic period and Yugoslavia the country attained independence.

Sarajevo Walking tour will leave from the Invicta Travel office and take you to the main sights of the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture and will show you the unique line where east meets west. Learn more about the history of the city and see some of the main attractions, such as Bascarsija Square, the wooden fountain Sebilj and one of the locals’ favorite meeting points, also known as the Pigeon Square.

Heading to Kazandziluk (Coppersmith Street), where you can feel like you've stepped back into the 16th century as you browse the copper crafts, from jewelry to pottery. After that you’ll visit Bravadziluk street, famous for its restaurants, and then you will go see one of the symbols of this remarkable city; The City Hall.

The tour will continue along the Miljacka river to the next stop; Latin bridge, the worldwide known site and the place of assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which triggered WWI.

Heading back to Ottoman area, you will enjoy stories about Gazi Husrev Bey and his heritage. Once you step from Ottoman area to Austrian part of the town, you will be fascinated by totally different street style and architecture.
