August 26th was my birthday, so my husband and I spent it visiting Savannah and this lovely hidden treasure a short scenic 25 miles away. The gothic revival home was like none other in the area. Our wonderful docent, Joanna, was very informative and more than willing to answer any questions we had. After the tour there was a fabulous homemade smorgasbord of snacks bread pudding, mac and cheese, baked chips and dips, sweet potato pie are just a few. Yummm is the only word to describe it. We were privileged to meet the current owners of the property who were so gracious to allow tours in their home, especially right before a scheduled gala. The 200 year old live oaks and equestrian community only add to the charm.
