Board the Verde Canyon Railroad at the train depot in Clarkdale. After settling into your vintage passenger car, you will be greeted with a Champagne toast. Admire the scenic views from your comfortable love seat or bistro-style chair-and-table seating in First Class, which features panoramic windows in a living room-style atmosphere. The exquisitely renovated passenger coach takes you along the Verde River between Clarkdale and Perkinsville. The 40-mile (64-km) round-trip ride passes by historical mining sites, geological wonders, Sinagua Indian cliff dwellings, and wildlife such as bald eagles and antelope.
