You can see the beautiful sunrise from the twin mountain, Merapi and Merbabu. Besides the sun emerged from the two mountains, you can observe Borobudur Temple gradually appear from the fog. From this point, you can also see the Chicken Church building. Besides the two landmarks, another side of the hill will show you the beauty of the rice field around the beautiful hill. You can also take photos in some platforms prepared with a very beautiful background.

Chicken Church or Gereja Ayam as known by locals is a building that resembles a bird. The owner of this building intended to make a building that looks like a dove, a symbol of peace, but the people around find that the building looks like a chicken, so they call this building Chicken Church. Until now, the place is known as Gereja Ayam although originally named A House of Prayer for All Nation in Bukit Rhema.

You can find rooms for prayer in the basement of this place. The praying room is not only for Christian, but can be used by everyone regardless of their religion. Besides the room for praying, you can go to the top of this building and see the beautiful surrounding with the twin mountain of Merapi and Merbabu as the background. Do not forget to have a cup of coffee in the W'dank Coffee Shop in the compound.

Stop At: Borobudur Temple, Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Borobudur, Magelang 56553 Indonesia

Borobudur Temple Compound is the biggest Buddha temple in Indonesia and even in the world. This marvelous building is a heritage from the old kingdom in central Java.

You can see the part of relief sculpture in the base of the temple called Karmawibhaga, there are 4 panels that can be enjoyed where the rest of the sculpture hidden behind the rock of the temple base. You can enjoy the sculpture on the wall panels and the best way to see it is to go around the temple clockwise direction start from the East Gate.

In the top of this temple, there is Rupadhatu section, a place where you can see the stupas with Buddha Statues inside the stupa. In the topmost of the temple, there is an enormous stupa. There is no statue inside the stupa, hence the section get the name, Arupadhatu, the realm of no shape.

Besides visiting the temple itself, you can also visit some places such as the reconstruction area, Bahari Museum, Borobudur Museum, and you can have lunch in Manohara Restaurant inside the Borobudur Temple Complex (lunch is not included in this package)

Stop At: Ketep Pass, Magelang Indonesia

Ketep Pass is located between the twin mountain Merapi and Merbabu. from this beautiful place, you can see the beauty of the surrounding area. You can also rent a telescope if you want to see a more detailed panorama. Besides the beautiful view of the two mountains and the ricefield between them, you can also visit a Vulcanology Museum or watch a movie about the volcano in the mini theater.
