Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Donnaeko, Yeongcheon-dong, Seogwipo-si, South Korea

Of all the hiking trails on Hallasan Mountain, this is the only one that begins in Seogwipo. All paths were closed and restricted for 15 years as part of a program to prevent serious damage to the natural environment and this trail was only reopened in 2009. It offers new views after extensive renovations were completed. With the reopening of this trail, it is now possible to take part in a two-day, one-night hiking course starting from Gwaneumsa, climbing up to Baeknokdam and descending via the Donnaeko trail. Much of the charm of this trail is seeing the coastal waters of Seogwipo and Jeju-Style cemeteries that were made by piling up basaltic stones as you climb the gentle ridge in the dense, rainforest-like woods.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Yeongsil Trail, 246, Yeongsil-ro, Jeju Island 63554 South Korea

Yeongsil hiking trail, with its gentle mountain terrain, is the shortest route up Hallsan Mountain but it is open only up to Witse Oreum because crowds of people can easily ruin the natural environment. Although entry to Baeknokdam is not allowed from this trail, it still offers a variety of attractions including Yeongsilgiam, the Yeongsil pine forest, Obaeknahan, Seonjakjiwat, which means flat land with gravel, and Witse Oreum, which means above three hills. Hikers are recommended to descend via the Eorimok Trail.

Duration: 3 hours
