Full day Korean DMZ & JSA (Panmunjeom) tour without shopping stop

This tour focuses its attention on the DMZ & JSA, without any shopping centers in the itinerary. After pick-up at your hotel in Seoul, the tour starts by going to Imjingak Park where you'll see the Freedom Bridge and the Monument of Soldiers, which help illustrate the tragedy of Korean War.

Then head to the 3rd Tunnel, which North Korean Army tried to use to infiltrate South Korea in 1970s. You can walk down to the tunnel wearing a provided helmet for about 1,600 feet (500 meters). After leaving the tunnel, you will have time at the DMZ Exhibition Hall, where you can see displays of old weapons and watch a short film about Korea’s history. 

Your next stop is Dora Observatory, where you can see North Korea’s propaganda village through on-site telescopes, and then continue the tour to Dorasan Station, the last train station before the border with North Korea. As an added bonus, you can get a souvenir stamp that resembles the immigration desk in the airport. Even though it's not an official immigration stamp into North Korea, it still makes for a fun souvenir.

Then the bus will pass by the Unification Village, and go back to the Imjingak Park for lunch.

After lunch, the bus takes you to JSA (Joint Security Area/ Panmunjeom) to visit border line between South and North Korea. This area is very restricted and much careful to move, so you have received short briefing about JSA at Camp Bonifas before entering.

In JSA, the professional guide is leading you to each place – House of Peace, Blue house (conference rooms), Bridge of No Return etc.

At the border line where UN military & North Korean soldiers are facing each other, you can see Panmungak building which is located in North Korea area. 

Finish to visit JSA, you'll head to Seoul for a drop-off near Seoul City Hall where the tour ends.

 

Note : 1. This tour needs passport copy in advance at least 5 days prior and some people can be rejected to book by specific nationality (Korea/ Cuba/ Iran/ Iraq/ Afghanistan/ Pakistan/ Syria/ Libya/ Sudan).



2. JSA is controlled by UN commander and you have to follow their schedule for available visit dates. (Please check the available dates in advance)

3. This tour has limited seats per day. It might be easier to secure your seat if you confirm the tour earlier.
