Gyeongpodae
Gyeongpodae Pavilion is famous for the view of the moon on the 15th day of the first lunar month. It is a large, tall pavilion, and its architectural feature of a paljak (eight-point) roof, is the most common form used in Korean buildings. It has been designated as Regional Cultural Asset No. 6. Its structure is divided into 6 sections in the front, and 5 sections at the side, with 28 pillars surrounding the pavilion.
Gyeongpodae Cherry Blossom Festival
From the beginning of April to the middle of April every year, the Gyeongpo-Taiwan Cherry Blossom Festival will be held in Gyeongpo-eup. This celebration is also one of the representative celebrations of Gangneung. During the celebration, a large number of tourists from home and abroad are attracted to enjoy the cherry blossoms. Lighthouse Mural Village
The Mohu Lighthouse Mural Village is located on the uphill road leading to the Mohu Lighthouse in Mohu Port. In August 2010, the local area began to draw pictures on the lanes and walls. Based on the story of the life of the local residents, the members of the "Public Art Community" composed by the Fine Arts Department sketched the sketches, and then the 60-70-year-old village residents were responsible for coloring, creating a unique, interesting, and colorful murals.
