About this activity
Meet your coordinator at your preferred location in downtown Seoul (Hongik Univ. or Myeongdong or Dongdaemun History and Culture Park subway stations). We will arrive at Namhansanseong within one and half hours. Namhansanseong is situated 25 km southeast from the center of Seoul, Namhansanseong sits 500m above sea level aligning itself with the ridges of the mountain to maximize its defensive capacity. The fortress encompassing 12.4km in length protects a vast area utilized as an emergency capital city of the Joseon dynasty of Korea. It is famous for the place of Injo, the king in Joseon dynasty surrendered to the the qing dynasty.
The walls and facilities utilizing the rugged terrain embody the technological developments of fortress architecture that has been accumulated in Korea from the 7th century to the 19th century. The fortress is evidence of struggling to survive and enduring a painful history caused by the geopolitical power structure of East Aisa. Namhansanseong was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2014. Now it is popular for several hiking courses for health and the resting place.
After about 2 hours light hiking, you will enjoy lunch around the Namhansanseong or other restaurants in Lotte World Tower. Or our tour staff can recommend you any good restaurants. The next destination is the newest landmark in Seoul, Seoul Sky Observatory in Lotte World Tower. The Seoul Sky Observatory is located at the top of the Lotte World Tower, the world's fifth tallest building and the tallest building in South Korea, standing 123 stories and 555 meters high. Visitors can enjoy amazing 360-degree view of Seoul and unique experience on the sky deck which is the glass floored observation deck on the 118 floor.
The Sky Shuttle elevator is being recorded as both the fastest double-deck elevator, with a speed of 600 meters per minute, and the elevator covering the longest distance. On the lower levels of the observatory, there are the best office space for VVIP, PREMIER 7, the super luxury hotel, Signiel Seoul, the first-class resident facility, SIGNIEL RESIDENCES, PRIME OFFICE, and the art, culture and one stop lifestyle for PODIUM. You can also enjoy shopping at Lotte World Mall. It is located next to the tower, features Avenuel, a complex of luxury department stores. The multi-leveled mall stores including duty free stores draws in many visitors as one of the top shopping attractions in Seoul, with a variety of domestic and foreign brands. It The mall also offers a wide-range of entertainment facilities, such as a movie theater, aquarium, concert hall, and hot restaurants.
