Gyeongbok Palace. 'Gyeongbok' means 'felicitous blessing'. It is the first palace that was built in 1395 on the foundation of the Joseon Dynasty (CE 1392-1910).
As it is the most important palace in the history of the dynasty, it is also quite enormous. Perhaps due to the luck by the name 'Gyeongbok' this new dynasty was able to last 600 years long with glory and shame.

Insadong is the place to look around lots of galleries, restaurants, ceramics, handy crafts and souvenir for reasonable price. Stroll along Insadong street, you will be able to bumper into "Dragon Beard" - kind of high quality cotton candy for King. The making process from dough to 16,384 strings those looks like fine beards.

Along the street near Jogyeosa, there are Buddhist specialty shops and some colorful facilities related to the Buddhism. You can get a genuine feeling of Korean traditions of Zen Buddhism.
