Sinheung temple, built during Queen Jindeok era, is located in Seoraksan in Sokcho. A significant landmark of the temple would the be huge bronze Buddha statue standing over 14 meters tall. This Buddha statue, also known as the Great Unification Buddha, symbolizes the desire of Koreans and foreigners alike, who would like to witness the reunification of the country. As you stroll along the temple grounds, breathe in the scent of pine and maple trees that surrounds this temple.
