In case you are lucky, you might even get to see the royal guards changing ceremony in the front yard inside Gwanghwamun, the main and largest gate of the palace. Walk up to the Blue House (the official residence of the president of South Korea), just across the palace's north gate.

Next, head for the charming Bukchon Hanok Village, where you can see numerous traditional houses. Walk down the narrow street while enjoying traditional Korean architecture and learn more about traditional Korean lifestyle from your tour guide.
