After hotel pick up, we will drive about 60 mins to Namhansanseong Fortress. We will start the hike from North gate along the fortress walls. We will pass through beautiful pine and oak forests with a panoramic view of Seoul and nearby mountains.

The fortress embodies a synthesis of the art of defence in the Far East in the early 17th century, built and then defended by Buddhist soldier-monks. We will visit numerous historical buildings and gates that tell these stories, all of which are UNESCO listed and possess significant historical value, many of which maintain their original forms to this day.

The hike involves some steep walk up and down the fortress. While it is not difficult, you will be burning some calories! We will be taking enough breaks in traditional pavilions with great view, dotted along the trail. Don’t forget to bring your camera; it will be an opportunity to take photos that will last a lifetime!
