About this activity
This is a very special activity for all the participants - guides, visitors, workers and grannies!
Planned during more than a year, here we have our most beloved activity as a community-based tourism iniatiative.
We will start this activity with a walking tour in Trafaria, the oldest fishing village of Lisbon area. As a very humble place, this village was the first official beach in our country and nowadays is mostly famous because of its seafood. It´s one of the most authentic places you have around Lisbon and where the river meets the sea.
During this experience we will visit a local organization, meet locals along our way to the social centre and cook with the cutest grannies ever there. The Social Centre of Trafaria is a multi-generation eco-instituition where you have people from 0 to +100 years old. It is a very old organization of Portugal and there you can listen delicious life stories close to the sea and meet wonderful people. In short, understand how good institutional practices can be done and spread over the world through a touristic experience.
