Stop At: Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, Pl. Campo Santo de los Martires, 14004 Cordoba Spain

The Alcázar (castle) of Cordoba, with its thick defensive walls, served both as a fortress and a palace, and is a perfect illustration of the development of Cordoban architecture through the ages. Roman and Visigoth ruins lie side by side with Arabic remains in this magnificent building, which was once the favourite residence of the different rulers of the city. However, when Cordoba was taken by Fernando III «the Saint» in 1236, the former Caliphal Palace was in a pitiful, ruinous state. Alfonso X «the Wise» began the restoration work, which was finished off during the reign of Alfonso XI. It has fulfilled many different functions over the years, such as Headquarters of the Inquisition, or a prison (first half of the 20th century).

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba, Calle del Cardenal Herrero 1, 14003 Cordoba Spain

the beauty of Córdoba’s great mosque, with its remarkably serene and spacious interior. One of the world's greatest works of Islamic architecture, the Mezquita hints, with all its lustrous decoration, at a refined age when Muslims, Jews and Christians lived side by side and enriched their city with a heady interaction of diverse, vibrant cultures.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Jewish Quarter (Juderia), Cordoba Spain

Córdoba's old Jewish quarter consists of a fascinating network of narrow lanes, more atmospheric and less commercialised than in Seville although souvenir shops have emerged.

Great tour and my guide in Spanish was excellent Ana. Unfortunately, not a whole day only from 10-2:30. Not enough time to explore on your own

This day trip from Seville was so much fun! Our driver and trip guide Keyla made the pick-up, drop-off and travel efficient and informative. Our Cordoba tour guide Ana had a depth of knowledge which was so insightful, well worth the price of the booking! Thank you Viator!

Nice bus from Seville to Cordoba of about 2 hours. Very good guide who was passionate about Cordoba and told us more than what's seen on the surface. The Mesquita was the highlight as it's just stunning. It's good the tour ends there as we have time to take in the beauty of the marvel and what current Arabs need to think that their forefathers were more valuable to mankind than what they are today.

The trip was awsome. The Mosque was amazing and so was the Alcazar. The guide Rosario was excellent in presenting the history behind the monuments. I did have a hard time communicating with the local tourist agency. I arrived on time at the departure point and left with out notification. Put us on a cab that I had to pay for. We were suppose to stop by the city of Carmona on the way back but they decided to cancel without notification.

Because I had read about previous confusion on the tour starting point, we rang the day before to check on pick time and location and was sent a detailed WhatsApp message with written description and map. Because we were picked up from cano y centa, in Santa Cruz, we were only part of the pick up process for 15mins, so not bad. I was a little put off by the reviews regarding waiting around for others to join, but we didn’t experience that, when we got to Córdoba there was a bit of waiting whilst issues with radios got sorted but again not bad at all and it was to make sure everyone could hear our guide. Our guide was Ana and she was fantastic, especially in the limited time that she had to show us around Córdoba, but couldn’t fault the knowledge or clarity with which it was presented. We really enjoyed our experience and would come back to spend more time again!

Excellent trip, well organized. Our guide Ana was fantastic and well-informed. We did have enough time at the end of the trip (about 2 hours) to explore on our own, have lunch and do some shopping. Highly recommended.

The ease of having transportation, tickets and a guide is fantastic. The attractions are very close together and there is time at the end to walk about and do your own exploring.

If you are lucky enough to get as your guide in Cordoba a young girl named ANA this will the best. The way she explained everything in details was amazing and made a big difference.

I booked for a trip to Cordoba AND optional tour of Carmona. And this happened to be the worst experience with Viator ever. The local agent is very disorganized and unprofessional. We were told to go and wait at their office at 8:15am but we were left standing on the streets. We called the emergency number they gave but the person who picked up is on her first day at work and doesn't know anything. Until about 8:30 then were we told to wait somewhere else Hotel Becquer. My trip is Cordoba AND optional Carmona. But at the end of the day - they claimed its optional. I felt cheated. Andalsur is of no help as they did not provide a guide on the bus. The person is just a facilitator who knew nothing.

Our tour guide was Ana, and I'm sorry, but she had to be the worst tour guide I have ever had in my years of travelling. First off, the Seville Alcazar is 10 times better than Cordoba's, and it was almost a waste of time to see it. The Cordoba Mosque/Church is absolutely amazing and a must see, but you could probably take a bus or train here and save the money. Ana was our tour guide, and she was very informative and knew a lot about the sites, but she would just talk and talk and talk as well as talk extremely fast. She talked for 1 hour about the story of Spain standing in the heat when we could have learned that on the bus the way there. She then talked for 30 min about a Roman column that was in the dirt like it was the most beautiful thing in the world. She just would give you way more information than you would care about. She could have told us the story about the roman column in 2 sentences, instead, we stood looking a column in the dirt for 30 min and a complete waste of time. Our tour had roughly 30 people in it, and after the story of Spain for an hour, people stopped caring about anything she had to say after that. Her story's were so long it made people not care what she had to say because they didn't want to stand there and listen for 30 min at each stop when t could have been said while walking past it. After about half way through the tour, about 1/3 of our group just left and once we heard the first story i the mosque/church, everyone else left besides a handful of people. Ana completely ruined the whole day on this tour for my group, and I wish I would have just taken a bus or train and seen these by myself.
